§ 16-10. Plea of guilty in absence of defendant.

Any party against whom any compliant is lodged or information given may file a plea of guilty under such regulations and upon terms as the court may prescribe and, if such party cannot attend the trial, the court may pass such order or sentence in the case as if the party were personally present, if the defendant consents thereto.
